Skin Care Routines

Simple and effective skin care and makeup routines that are affordable, easy to use, and very helpful in achieving and maintaining great skin.

At Skin Care Pro Group, we are dedicated to providing you with the best options for easy anti-aging, acne or acne prone, sensitive or oily skin care routines in terms of streamlining the amounts of products used, evaluating and testing the benefits and ingredients of products suggestions, and giving you options of skin care products and makeup products that fit into a couple of different budgets and price points.

We are continually searching for and evaluating and testing brands that can help people cut through all the marketing hype and the confusion as to what skin care products to buy and when to use them.  As we find new serums, moisturizers, and other specialized products and tools that help and solve problems we will update our recommendations.

There are few esthetic, specialized or clinical grade products that we provide in order to be able to support your skin goals with much stronger potencies than you can obtain over the counter.  For some of store options, we may get a minimal affiliate commission but we have no goals to get rich based on this.  We simply ask that you consider purchasing them from our links so that eventually, we may be able to add some more cool tools and equipment to our practice.

Basic skin care routine for anti-aging and dry skin

Morning anti-aging skin care routine

  1. Wash face with cold water and the suggested cleanser using one of the recommended cleaning tools that are safe for your skin.  Be sure to dry the skin completely as to not mix the next step with moisture and lower the potency of the next product.
  2. Apply a light coat of the recommended serum, avoiding the immediate eye area and allow the product to absorb before moving towards the next step.  Note that I only recommend professional grade serums because they are the “powerhouse” product and therefore, worth the investment.
  3. Apply a good eye cream all around the eye including eye lids and also the brows (on top of brow hair)
  4. Apply a good moisturizer with SPF 15+ for people that don’t spend much time outside or 30-50 SPF for those who are outside or workout daily.

  6. Apply a good moisturizer to seal the serum overnight.

Skin care routine perfecting bonus activities

  1. Every week select one night when you wash the face and put NOTHING on to let the skin oxygenate, rest, and self balance in terms of oil production.
  2. Do not combine professional or dermatology retinol products with any other type of exfoliant product or activity.
  3. When incorporating a new product please be sure that it is the ONLY new one you add to your routine at the same time.  The skin may take multiple (5+) applications before a reaction (good or bad) can happen and you want to be able to determine what product to eliminate in the case of a bad reaction.
  4. Users of professional or dermatology retinol products should exfoliate additionally 1 time per month on a day NOT using the retinol and should not have any advanced modality treatment such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, etc.  sooner than 1 month before the last time of use.
  5. If you do not use  professional or dermatology retinol products, you can exfoliate 2-4 times per month using an approved, skin protecting exfoliant but not more than one time per week.
